The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault throttle actuator control system, stuck open to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so please check dtc memory of instrument cluster and wait then fuel mixture control adjustment range 3, higher limit not reached is the final reason of the code. |
03946 Possible Causes:
03946 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 03946 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger / supercharger boost system performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
