This something to do with the intake camshaft timing camshaft adjustment oil temperature sensor (g277), short to b+ run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed charging system, voltage high also engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit range / performance will delay your vw fault. |

03931 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03931 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
