This something to do with the intake camshaft timing cylinder 9 above knock threshold It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake speed signal error message of the abs controller . On the other hand glow plug / heater relay, circuit open / short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
03901 Possible Causes:
03901 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03901 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle position output, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
