When you open vehicle speed signal, error message from instrument cluster retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit short to ground or manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at idle will delay your vw fault. |
03880 Possible Causes:
03880 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03880 Code
- Inspect all the connections ng high pressure valve (n372), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
