This something to do with the intake camshaft timing secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit open circuit mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 3, probe 2 heating circuit interruption and nox sensor bank 1, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |

03878 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03878 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition switch accessory position, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
