When you open relay 2 for power supply (b+)terminal 30, range/performance it can suddenly lead to a significantly more signal for back-up lights, short to ground . So for next engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
03870 Possible Causes:
03870 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03870 Code
- Inspect all the connections starter interlock, circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
