Staring in engine ignition coil 'j' primary control, circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start accelerator position sensor (g79), signal too high also pressure control solenoid 5 (n233) open / short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
03864 Possible Causes:
03864 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03864 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
