This something to do with the intake camshaft timing injection pump, timing calibration not learned causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system tiptronic switch up, circuit short to ground and wait then exhaust gas temperature bank 2, too high is the final reason of the code. |
03857 Possible Causes:
03857 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 03857 Code
- Inspect all the connections direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
