The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 1, circuit intermittent causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit range / performance or tiptronic switch recognition (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
03846 Possible Causes:
03846 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 03846 Code
- Inspect all the connections radiator fan 2 (v177), difficulty of movement / blocked
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
