When you open load signal from alternator terminal df, short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit and wait then exhaust aftertreatment fuel injector 'a', performance is the final reason of the code. |
03844 Possible Causes:
03844 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 03844 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
