This code were stamped on VW Engine case o2 sensor signals swapped, bank 1 sensor 3 - /bank 2 sensor 3 retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start or fuel pump 2 circuit, electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |

03842 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
