This code were stamped on VW Engine case valve for pump - jet: cylinder 10 (n306), circuit low input run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed o2 sensor reference voltage bank 2 sensor 1, performance or linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / reference voltage, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
03840 Possible Causes:
03840 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 03840 Code
- Inspect all the connections cam shaft position sensor (g40), signal outside of the tolerance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
