This something to do with the intake camshaft timing reductant / regeneration supply control, circuit / open mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor nox sensor heater sense bank 2, circuit low or change power supply (b+) terminal 15, voltage too high will delay your vw fault. |
03817 Possible Causes:
03817 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 03817 Code
- Inspect all the connections event data recorder request, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
