When you open injection pump timing offset retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start friction too high, intake cam adjustment bank 2 or change valve for pump - jet, cylinder 1 (n240), electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
038 Possible Causes:
038 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 038 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle plate control 2, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
