Accumulated in electronic control units so direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit intermittent / erratic the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles motor for intake manifold flap (v157), no signal also accelerator pedal position sensor 1 (g79), signal too high is the final reason of the code. |
038 Possible Causes:
038 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 038 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at lower limit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
