When you open exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at upper limit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start please check dtc memory of ecu number 2 . On the other hand nox sensor bank 2, circuit will delay your vw fault. |
03746 Possible Causes:
03746 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 03746 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant fan 2 (v177), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
