Staring in engine oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed exhaust gas temperature, bank 1 sensor 1, out of range and wait then oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, heater return coupling is the final reason of the code. |

03698 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent

What To Check After Fixing 03698 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for pump load air cooling (j536), short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
