When you open relays for pump, fuel cooling (j445), short-circuit after pluses causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system secondary air injection system switching valve bank 1, stuck open you can see the exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448), range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
03697 Possible Causes:
03697 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders

- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03697 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / pump current, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
