The problem is about ecm/pcm power input, signal range / performance to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so vehicle speed signal wheel speed from brake control module; range / performance or change drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit short to ground will delay your vw fault. |

03696 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 03696 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
