03684 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit range / performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles auxiliary engine coolant (ec) pump relay (j496), open or short to ground or change butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), under voltage during basic adjustment is the final reason of the code. |
03684 Possible Causes:
03684 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 03684 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of steering electronics (j527)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
