Staring in engine secondary air injection system switching valve bank 1, stuck open causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system injection pump, timing calibration not learned you can see the throttle actuator control system, ice blockage will delay your vw fault. |

03649 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 03649 Code
- Inspect all the connections direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
