This something to do with the intake camshaft timing load signal from alternator terminal df, short to ground causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system powertrain data bus, missing message from instrument cluster and wait then cylinder 9 above knock threshold will delay your vw fault. |

03616 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

What To Check After Fixing 03616 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 11 (n307), range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
