The problem is about direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit low It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake valve for pump - jet: cylinder 8 (3040), electrical malfunction or intake flap motor 2 (v275), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
03609 Possible Causes:
03609 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

What To Check After Fixing 03609 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid c (n388), signal high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
