Staring in engine secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor nox sensor bank 2, circuit also oxygen sensor bank 3 sensor 1, internal resistance too large is the final reason of the code. |
03542 Possible Causes:
03542 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 03542 Code
- Inspect all the connections idle speed control throttle position, electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
