The problem is about transmission control unit relay, short to b+ the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, circuit intermittent or linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / common ground wire, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
03481 Possible Causes:
03481 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 03481 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus powertrain, missing message for central electric controller
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
