03436 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault fuel pump "b" control, circuit / open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start data-bus powertrain missing message from distance control or change throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit is the final reason of the code. |
03436 Possible Causes:
03436 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 03436 Code
- Inspect all the connections shift up/down wire, open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
