03431 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), electrical malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start data bus powertrain, missing message from acceleration request . So for next control module defective is the final reason of the code. |
03431 Possible Causes:
03431 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 03431 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 sensor 1, voltage too low or air leak
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
