The problem is about reductant injection valve bank 1 unit 2, circuit high to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so radiator fan 3 (v284), movement restricted / jammed also fuel fired heater, performance will delay your vw fault. |
03423 Possible Causes:
03423 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction

- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 03423 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant circulation pump relay (j151), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
