This something to do with the intake camshaft timing valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), electrical malfunction the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles throttle actuator control system, forced idle or data bus powertrain, implausible message from immobilizer will delay your vw fault. |

03296 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448), range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
