03289 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition switch accessory position, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start evaporative emission system vent (n115), valve stuck closed . On the other hand exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
03289 Possible Causes:
03289 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03289 Code
- Inspect all the connections glow plug / heater indicator (k29), circuit short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
