The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust aftertreatment fuel injector 'a', circuit / open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start please check dtc memory of steering wheel electronics . On the other hand exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, electrical error in the electric circuit is the final reason of the code. |
03230 Possible Causes:
03230 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 03230 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
