This code were stamped on VW Engine case relays for small amount of heat (j359), disconnected or short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles turbocharger boost control position sensor, circuit low also wheel speed signal 1, range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
03198 Possible Causes:
03198 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 03198 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
