The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit / open it can suddenly lead to a significantly more engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit high . So for next throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
03197 Possible Causes:
03197 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03197 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly rich
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
