Diagnosing engine bar with valve for pump - jet, cylinder 4 (n243), electrical malfunction the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles pressure control solenoid 4 (n218), open / short to ground also linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / pump current, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
03187 Possible Causes:
03187 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03187 Code
- Inspect all the connections a/c clutch relay, circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
