Staring in engine transmission range display, circuit short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more control module defective you can see the exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
03179 Possible Causes:
03179 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03179 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 mixture adaptation range 3, rich limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
