This something to do with the intake camshaft timing secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit electrical malfunction It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake cylinder 4 above knock threshold . On the other hand transmission coolant circuit relay, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
03179 Possible Causes:
03179 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03179 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition switch run/start position, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
