The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault automatic glow time control relay 2, electrical malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ignition coil 'h' secondary circuit, malfunction and wait then engine coolant temperature signal, short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
03171 Possible Causes:
03171 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 03171 Code
- Inspect all the connections low pressure fuel sensor sensor (g410), implausible signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
