This something to do with the intake camshaft timing camshaft adjustment oil temperature sensor (g277), implausible signal to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so please check dtc memory of air condition ecu and torque management feedback signal "b", low will delay your vw fault. |
03166 Possible Causes:
03166 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 03166 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
