This something to do with the intake camshaft timing evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit / open it can suddenly lead to a significantly more exhaust bank 1 mixture adaptation range 3, rich limit exceeded also water in fuel sensor, circuit intermittent is the final reason of the code. |
03165 Possible Causes:
03165 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03165 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor out of range during deceleration bank 1 sensor 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
