03164 Description And Summary : |

When you open exhaust bank 3 sensor 1, inner resistance implausible causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system relays for pump, fuel cooling (j445), short-circuit after pluses also secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
03164 Possible Causes:
03164 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 03164 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor reference voltage bank 1 sensor 1, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
