03140 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit / open the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles throttle actuator control motor, control circuit . On the other hand powertrain data bus, missing message from steering wheel electronics is the final reason of the code. |
03140 Possible Causes:
03140 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03140 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor reference voltage bank 2 sensor 1, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
