This code were stamped on VW Engine case fuel pump "a", low flow / performance mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), under voltage during basic adjustment and wait then exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit is the final reason of the code. |
03131 Possible Causes:
03131 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Reverse Input Circuit

What To Check After Fixing 03131 Code
- Inspect all the connections diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
