This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle actuator control module, performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles accelerator pedal position sensor 2 (g185), signal too high you can see the transmission coolant circuit relay, short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
03042 Possible Causes:
03042 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 03042 Code
- Inspect all the connections bank 2, system too lean off idle
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
