The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault wheel speed signal 2, range / performance it can suddenly lead to a significantly more throttle/pedal position sensor 'f', maximum stop performance and change-over valve for intake manifold flap 2, high is the final reason of the code. |
03040 Possible Causes:
03040 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03040 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
