When you open kick down switch, error message from engine contr. to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit / open . On the other hand exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
03038 Possible Causes:
03038 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 03038 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor heater sense bank 2, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
