This something to do with the intake camshaft timing secondary air injection system bank 1, high air flow causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system o2 sensor negative current control bank 2 sensor 1, circuit low also coolant fan control module 2, malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
02999 Possible Causes:
02999 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 02999 Code
- Inspect all the connections cylinder 8 injector, data incompatible
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
