When you open intake manifold runner control, circuit / open bank 2 mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 2, circuit range / performance or a/c clutch relay, circuit short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
02997 Possible Causes:
02997 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 02997 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 1, biased / stuck lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
