This something to do with the intake camshaft timing injector control pressure, too high - engine off it can suddenly lead to a significantly more intake manifold runner control, regulation deviation or change exhaust bank 4 mixture adaptation range 3, rich limit exceeded is the final reason of the code. |
02985 Possible Causes:
02985 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 02985 Code
- Inspect all the connections manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at idle
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
