This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 1/2 lambda probes before kat exchanges retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), high also intake manifold runner bank 1 control, basic setting aborted mechanical limit open is the final reason of the code. |

02982 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 02982 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at lower limit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
