02971 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing cylinder 6 above knock threshold the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles fuel injection valve 3 (n368), short to ground and please check dtc memory of adr control module is the final reason of the code. |
02971 Possible Causes:
02971 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 02971 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for pump load air cooling (j536), short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
