The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault nox sensor bank 2, circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 2, biased / stuck rich or change butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), lower notice one does not reach will delay your vw fault. |
02931 Possible Causes:
02931 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 02931 Code
- Inspect all the connections temperature sensors for drive cycle radiator exhaust (g382), signal too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
