The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault cylinder 7 above knock threshold It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake air cleaner inlet control, circuit high . On the other hand exhaust gas temperature, bank 1 sensor 1, out of range is the final reason of the code. |
02899 Possible Causes:
02899 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 02899 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
